Jeff’s background includes broad financial management experience developed across corporate roles and public accounting. Jeff began serving as Chief Financial Officer of Z.E.N. Foods after completing the company’s funding objectives, securing the production facilities, and commencing operations during the first quarter of 2010.
Prior to the formation of Z.E.N.Foods, Jeff served as CFO of Poquito Más, Inc., while concurrently building two Poquito Más franchise restaurants with a partner, and providing on-going consulting services to several well known Los Angeles restaurant chains. Jeff raised over $12 million in new funding while serving the Wolfgang Puck Food Company as Vice President of Finance, and subsequently provided assistance through several consulting projects. Services included managing multiple strategic alliance initiatives, oversight of the finance and accounting departments, treasury, risk management, annual operating plans, long-term strategic projections, and design of the Company’s incentive compensation programs.
Prior to joining the Wolfgang Puck Food Company, Jeff spent four years as CFO of Johnny Rockets International, Inc. During a difficult turnaround period, the Company grew from 27 units to 90 units system-wide, and reported a swing in earnings from a $1 million loss to over $1 million of profit. While these improvements were taking place, Jeff coordinated the due diligence requirements which resulted in a $35 million acquisition of the Company by a group of venture capital investors.
Jeff has also held senior financial positions at Taco Bell, PepsiCo Food Systems, Uccel Corporation and Ernst & Whinney. He earned an accounting degree at Oklahoma State University, an MBA from Southern Methodist University, and has been a CPA since 1981.
